Narrative Writing - Mr Lion
Mr Lion's story starts with him and his pet parrot called Summer. They love to explore too. He found Summer as a chick out in the open and took her in as his own child. Now Mr Lion wants to tell you and Summer what they look like. Mr Lion’s fur colour is orange and golden and he's got a fluffy big mane. He eats anything he can get his paws on. He walks like a human and can grab stuff like a human too. Now let's go on and see what Summer looks like. Summer’s feathers’ colours are red, blue and green. She's got an orange beak as well. She can pick up things with her talons too like bananas and fruit and stuff like that.
They live in the savannah and they never dared to go out of the savannah. They had heard all the stories about the best warriors in the savannah; they left the savannah and never came back. Mr Lion did not like to think of what would happen to them but Mr Lion did want to leave the savannah to explore. They only explore in the savannah and close to the pride rock. Mr Lion wanted to have a long explore maybe he could just stay a night out there in the jungle, he thought. Sometimes it gets very hot in the savannah but it is good that pride rock is close to the waterfall and wateringhole.
So Mr Lion and Summer went to the waterfall instead of the waterhole this time because it was really hot. The waterhole dries up so they had a little drink and started to explore again.
But when they explored Mr Lion looked away from Summer for one second and when he looked back he saw Summer the parrot was captured by the kidnapper. He ran after her at top speed but then he stopped because the kidnapper who took Summer went out of the savannah and into the jungle. Mr Lion was terrified, he really did want to save Summer but he didn’t want to disappear like the warriors did.
He thought for a moment then said to himself if the kidnapper went in he could as well. So he put one paw out of the savannah and said to himself again well that's not so bad and kept on running. The jungle was creepy and green but with beautiful flowers and he was smelling each one that he passed. Finally he came to a clearing and saw streets, shops, houses and people. What is this place? He said to himself it’s just mind blowing, but then he saw one of the warriors who went missing and never came back.
Mr Lion walked over to him. “Why have you been here all along”? Mr Lion said to the warrior. “Oh you just reminded me that I was meaning to show you savannah people this place, it’s awesome,” the warrior said. “Oh by the way have you seen a kidnapper around here somewhere?”, said Mr Lion. “Yes I have,” said the warrior. “Where did he go?” said Mr Lion with excitement. “He went to the pet shop,” the warrior said. So with a lot of good grief and anger Mr Lion marched on over there. When he got there he looked through the window of the pet shop and saw Summer in a cage. He flung the door open in outrage and said to the person in a growly voice. “Give me back my parrot!” The person just said “ that will be 100 coins please.” Mr Lion steered at the person for a moment and he said “what’s coins?” Mr Lion smashed the cage open and all saw other animals trapped in cages and broke them with a big crash. There were all kinds of animals running around now like the biggest dog to the smallest hamster.
Mr Lion punched the door and it went flying onto the road. Then he saw the police coming and went running into the bush. But it was good the police didn’t come after them. Mr Lion and Summer passed the green and pretty jungle and ran into the savannah. They were running so fast that they bashed head first into a banana tree and that made most of the bananas fall off the tree. When they woke up they saw all of the bananas on the ground and started to eat them.
The end.

The Story of a Dragon and a Girl
The Story of a Dragon and a Girl
Deep in the Pacific Ocean there lies a lost island. For thousands of years the island's volcano had been asleep but now you can feel the ground rumbling as the lava began to rise under the volcano. At the foot of the volcano there stood a cave with an ancient dragon egg resting against some rocks. As the heat from the lava warmed the cave the egg began to crack. The volcano roared and out of the cave flew a baby dragon, who crashed straight into a tree! “Ouch” it roared, “flying is not easy”. The dragon was coloured orange, red, and gold with green eyes. It had pink spikes on its back and light blue circles all over its body that glowe and two horns. The dragon explored the island but then the dragon got bored “there must be more than this island out there” said the dragon. After Five weeks of practising flying the dragon feels like it's ready to fly over the sea and find another island to explore so it sets off on its journey. Then the dragon sees an island and flys over to it. The dragon sees a sign, it says Awatuna New Zealand. He saw a blue animal with wheels moving really fast, so fast that it nearly crashed into him so he flew away. The dragon kept flying until it saw a pond next to a house. There was a girl kayaking on her pond. The dragon loved water so flew down and dived into the water next to her. There was such a splash it made her kayak roll upside down and she fell out. The girl couldn’t swim and was sinking down to the bottom of the pond. The dragon quickly scooped her up with its talons and flew her out of the water. The girl climbed up onto the dragon's back. You might have thought that she was afraid but she shouted “woohoo!”as they soared through the air and they became friends. The girl told the dragon her name is Elizabeth and Elizabeth called the dragon Charlie. Elizabeth and Charlie were flying to explore the north island so they flew and flew and then had a lunch break at a river. Elizabeth had her peanut butter sandwich and Charlie caught a fish and in one second he chomped it down. Elizabeth looked at him with surprise and then he burped. Elizabeth said “pardon you” and they both started laughing. Then they packed up their belongings and set off to explore the north island. They flew for a few hours over land then Elizabeth told Charlie that she had to go to the toilet so they landed close to some trees and Elizabeth ran over and did what you do when you go to the toilet, “Ahhh” she said and they set off again. Soon they came to the edge of the land at the top of the South Island. Charlie was tired and flew immediately into the water. Elizabeth splashed to the surface and onto the sand. Charlie said to Elizabeth “could we rest here for a while?”. Elizabeth said “fine” in a growly face. “Straight in the morning we leave,” Elizabeth said. Ok, said Charlie. “All right we better make a fire and a shelter because it’s going to rain tonight” Elizabeth said. So they both got sticks for the shelter and made fire inside and gathered some fruit and meat to eat. After half an hour Elizabeth and Charlie were tired but they did finish the shelter and the fire. It was hard work. Charlie loved the beach because it was sprinkled with shells in light pink and light blue and the little rare ones that were yellow. The beach was lined with coconut trees and bushes with colourful berries. It felt like paradise to Charlie. In the morning Charlie did not want to leave the magical beach. He wined and begged Elizabeth to stay the day at the beach but Charlie did want to explore the north island too. He decided to head north but kept a special shell he found at the beach to remember this beautiful place. They flew for hours passing mountains, forests, clouds, lakes and rivers and some houses. Eventually they arrived at Auckland. It was very busy with lots of people and animals with wheels. “ Oh I forgot to tell you those animals with wheels are actually cars Charlie” said Elizabeth. They flew away from the noisy city to a large garden with big trees and landed on a grassy bank next to a pond. Suddenly there was a loud roar! Charlie looked behind him to find an angry lion roaring at him. They had landed in Auckland zoo! They quickly left the lion enclosure and flew over the zoo checking out all the animals there. Charlie loved the monkeys and giraffes while Elizabeth loved the tigers and elephants. They felt very special as all the people took lots of photos of them although some were very scared and hid from them especially when Charlie blew fire from his mouth at the lion's lunch. The lion was sad that Charlie burnt his meat and growled at him. Charlie said “sorry I thought you would like your meat crispy because I do” and got some more meat for the lion. Elizabeth said “we should go home, my mum must miss me by now.” Ok said Charlie. So they flew all the way home and Elizabeth’s mum said “I missed you so much Elizabeth and you Charlie. Did you look after Elizabeth?” Charlie nodded. “Well I think you two should spend some time at home for a while”. Charlie and Elizabeth did not have any more adventures. Until Elizabeth’s mum said why don't we go on holiday to Christchurch... The end.

Free Choice Writing - Cat Girl and Dog Girl
Our class has been learning to write free choice writing on our chrome books. It took as two weeks to write it. We got to choose what we wanted to write about. Here is my story that I wrote.
CAT GIRL AND DOG GIRL
Once upon a time there was a girl who was raised by big cats. Her name was Elizabeth. She had a friend called Zoe who loved dogs and was raised by dogs too. They did not live in a town or a city; they lived in the bush. They did not know how humans lived. They had a big cat and wild dog pride made up of lions, wolves, tigers, foxs, cheethers, wild dogs, leopards and jaguars and other types of cats and dogs.Their favorite pets were two cats called Charlie and Summer and one dog called Judith.
One day while Elizabeth and Zoe were hunting for deer they found a little town called Greymouth it was close to the ocean. Elizabeth and Zoe started to explore the town. They sneaked around each corner. Then they found a hut (which was actually the SPCA). They looked through a see-through wall (window) and saw cats and dogs in a cage. They jumped into the see-through wall but they smashed into it banging their noses, “ouch”! They said. They also saw people inside! The people saw Elizabeth and Zoe. “These are strange animal-like creatures,” they said. They captured them and called the police. The police said we should take them to the zoo in Christchurch. They can be a new type of wild cat and dog for humans to see what wild people look like. The police were on the road to Christchurch with Elizabeth and Zoe trapped in the back. Elizabeth and Zoe struggled to get free, they wiggled and wiggled but they could not get out.
While in the bush their mum’s were looking for them. They roared and barked so loud that Elizabeth and Zoe heard it. They started to roar and bark back to them too. Their mums heard their calls for help and came running after them. Elizabeth pushed her box that she was in and told Zoe to push her box so they both pushed their boxes so hard that the boxes fell out of the police truck and into the river beside the road, smashing the locks and opening the box doors.
They struggled out and swam to the surface and onto dry land. Then their mums just arrived and licked them dry and said, “you little chipmunks do not do that again”. That gave us a fright, we thought we might lose you two”. “Sorry mum” Elizabeth and Zoe said “we were just exploring and hunting”.
On their way home to the bush they saw a kid who was sad and cold. Elizabeth nuzzled him and called mum over and said, “can we keep him please mum, he is all alone.” Mum said, “all right he can be a part of our pride”. Elizabeth said “wait we need to call him a name, right mum.” “Yeah,”said mum”. “Well maybe you and Zoe should name him”. “Ok” said Elizabeth and Zoe, “how about Sam?” said Elizabeth. “Yeah, that’s a good name,” said Zoe. “We have to go home now darlings and my handsome son, it’s getting late. “Wait, Sam can’t walk!” said Elizabeth. “He can ride on my back,” said Elizabeth’s mum. So they all went home and lived happily ever after. Until one day Sam wandered off...
The End.

Statistic Investigation
We have started to learn to make graphs. This was hard because we had to ask everyone in our class what their favourite pet was out of these animals cat, goat, dog, bunny, peacock and peahen. I enjoyed writing them in and changing the colours. I learnt how to make a bar graph on Google Sheet

First Animation
We were learning to make a animation. I found my animation hard because every time I tried to make another page my animal just got in the way and turned into two animals.
This is how I made it. I made an animal or a human and went on explore and searched something and put it on my page then made another page and if you wanted you could make your animal or human speak.
Next time I will make a longer animation more then 20 slides.
